Trail to Baker Lake (Earth Walk Press map)
Day 1: Trail head to first camp in Elk Valley. Day 2: Rest and acclimatisation at 10,000' and stroll up White Rock Ridge/Elk Pass. Day 3: Across Lost Eagle Peak, setting up camp at Elbow Lake No 2. Day 4: Up the talus slope to peak 11894 (feet), through the Amphitheatres, past Lavaq Lake and into Tundra Valley. Day 5: Over the granite domes to the high camp at the E end of Baker Lake (11,675'). Day 6: Introduction to glacier travel on Sourdough Glacier. Day 7: Summitting Klondike Peak (13,114'). Day 8: Hike out to Elbow Lake No 2. Day 9: rest, hike up Lost Eagle Peak (11,838') and Webb's Glorious Buttress. Day 10: Across Lost Eagle, down Xmas Tree Valley and camping at the W tip of Slide Lake. Day 11: back to the trail head.
