Structural Bioinformatics of Signalling Molecules for Systems Biology

Research

My research is in the field of Structural Bionformatics and Biomolecular Data Mangement. The volume and the diversity of data is growing rapidly presenting a challange in data analysis and management. We aim to address these issues by designing of tools and developing databases to faciliate the retreival and effective integration of data from dispaparte sources.

We have developed a database system called ‘Bookshelf’ to provide an extremely simple system for curating and keeping track of molecular simulation data. You can downlaod Bookshelf from here.

My current work focuses on the use of text-mining techniques to develop a pipeline to extract and map mutations in proteins.

My research is funded by OCISB
